Publishing & Scheduling
Control when and how your content goes live with flexible publishing options including drafts, instant publishing, and scheduled releases.
Publishing Workflow
1. Save as Draft
Work in progress, not visible to the public
While editing a page, click "Save Draft" to:
- • Save your current progress
- • Keep the page hidden from public view
- • Continue editing later
- • Share preview links with team members
2. Preview Changes
Review how the page will look when published
Click "Preview" in the Page Builder to:
- • See the fully rendered page in a modal
- • Check block layouts and styling
- • Verify content accuracy before publishing
- • Test responsive design
3. Publish
Make the page live immediately
Click the green "Publish" button to:
- • Make the page publicly accessible at /p/[slug]
- • Create a new version in the history
- • Set the published timestamp
Scheduled Publishing
Schedule pages to publish automatically at a future date and time:
- 1. Set Status to "Scheduled"
In the Page Settings tab, change the status dropdown to "Scheduled".
- 2. Select Date and Time
A date/time picker will appear. Select when you want the page to go live.
- 3. Save the Page
Click "Save Draft" to save the scheduled publish time.
- 4. Automatic Publishing
The system checks for scheduled pages every minute and publishes them automatically when the time arrives.
Timezone Note
Scheduled times are based on your browser's local timezone. The page will publish at the selected time in your timezone.
Version History
Every time you publish a page, a version snapshot is automatically created:
Viewing Version History
- 1. Open the page in the Page Builder
- 2. Click the "Versions" button in the header
- 3. View all previous versions with timestamps and change notes
Restoring a Previous Version
- 1. Open the Versions dialog
- 2. Find the version you want to restore
- 3. Click the "Restore" button next to that version
- 4. The page content will be replaced with that version
- 5. Save or publish to make the restored content live
Unpublishing Content
To remove a page from public view:
Revert to Draft
Change the status back to "Draft" to hide the page while keeping it editable. The content remains intact for future publishing.
Archive
Set the status to "Archived" for pages you no longer need. Archived pages are hidden but preserved for reference.
Page Status Summary
| Status | Visibility | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Hidden | Work in progress |
| Scheduled | Hidden until date | Future publishing |
| Published | Public | Live content |
| Archived | Hidden | Preserved but inactive |
Best Practices
- • Always preview pages before publishing
- • Use meaningful change notes for version tracking
